The name game

Steve and I never asked for advice naming our children.  We quietly had a few names we liked for each child and once born we chose the name from our list.  We had a much longer list for our little puppy.   Our children gave suggestions that were added to the list.  Some of our friends even got in on the list making.  We whittled the long list down to the following:  Abaco Abby, Magnolia Maggie, Lucy, Poppy, Ruby, Tabasco Tabby, Ruby, Sunny, Georgia, June Bug and Busy Izzy.

It became evident that the name Busy Izzy fit her to a tee  as we got to know our sweet girl and observe her enormous level of energy and spunk.  Lainey sent us this collar for Izzy.  It may take a while for her to grow into this collar but I sure love the color.

These collars from Cabela’s Inc. are great.  Jack, Lainey’s yellow lab, had one on when he decided to explore Charleston’s Marion Square all by himself.  He was discovered and returned to us all because of the phone number on his collar.

Busy Izzy is still learning how to go down the steps and not liking it very much.

I detect a bit of a stubborn streak in the picture below.

Izzy has also discovered her voice and doesn’t mind telling me that going down the steps is not going to happen.  At least, not today!
