April 10 Barbeque

April 10 Evening BBQ
After arriving at Marsh Harbour Marina and settling in, we headed out for a walk into town.  We had to remember that the Bahamians drive on the left side of the road, not the right.  Although the walk into town is about a mile long, it was good to get out and stretch our legs after being on board for a while.  The roads are narrow.  Cars drive fairly close to the curb –so it is in our best interests to pay close attention.
After we finished our walk, we walked into the marina to the Wednesday night BBQ.  We had not reserved a plate, but Boo (Linda) told us there was plenty and we should join the group for dinner.  We agreed.  There were several people from the marina as well as locals, and people who had come in on their dinghy from other marinas or at anchor.  We met many new friends, listened to some music and watched some brave people try to limbo.  The ribs were delicious.  The meat fell from the bone.  There was so much food on the plate–Steve and I shared one and it was plenty.
We met Kenny from Colorado and his crew Allison from Fort Lauderdale and Will from Baltimore.  A little boy named Lucas from Switzerland was enthralled with Piper.  Lucas is probably about 9 year old.
