Painting on the boat

Many of the Flemings have a wooden placard on both the port and starboard sides of the boat with the name of the boat.  We decided to make these ourselves.  Steve found a guy–typical Steve style–who could rout the name into the wooden placard.  My job to paint the routed area. 

The  next step is to outline each letter in gold. Not sure how I am going to complete this task without any mistakes yet.  I am probably heading out today to look for a gold paint pen.  The problem is how to keep the pen steady when a wave rocks the boat.
