Name that Skeleton

An abandoned house overlooking Bucaroon Bay called out to Frank & Steve to come and explore. Sherrie and I stopped with looking in the windows of what was once a nice home overlooking the Sea of Abaco. Curiosity got the best of the guys who had to go around to the overgrown side of the house. They saw shotgun blasts on the door and window of the house. They concocted a story as to what they believe happened. Sherrie and I scooted on out of there back to the beach.
We found a skeleton under a tree on our way back.
We could use your help identifying this animal. Iguana? Lizard? Cat? Can’t wait to see your thoughts in the comments!

Kari says it’s a small mammal, probably a cat. In light of that, the shotgun blasts were the homeowner chasing the cat outside and trying to shoot it out of a tree. He missed several times first. He should have aimed away from the house, but he was in a blind rage since the cat ate the family parrot and then got sick on the carpet.
That’s my theory:)
Our thanks to Kari for helping us out. Your theory about the shotgun is very interesting. It is similar to Frank and Steve’s idea which involved a plumber and an unfaithful spouse. They may have to enhance the story with a parrot and a cat!
Obviously a Chupacabra. Good thing it was deceased!
I thought I might have heard a few Chupacabra making sounds in the woods. Glad we avoided them!
