Pirate Steps

Steve decided to walk down the Pirate Steps to get a glimpse of the sea. Locally known as the Pirate Steps, these stone stairs may date back to 1785. Passing ships in need of food, water, and firewood probably stopped here. The anchorage at Clifton, out of view from the officials in Nassau may have been a safe haven for pirates.
