Seminole Park in Ortega
(June 28, 2016) Matt, the dock master, at Lamb’s Yacht Center met Izzy and was charmed. Isn’t everyone? After telling him of her fear of the marina, he suggested we take her for a visit to Seminole Park in the Historic Ortega neighborhood. This area is bordered by the St. Johns river on the east, the Ortega river on the west and the Cedar River on the North. Seminole park is located on the Ortega River and is not marshy. It is a great place to let the dogs get a good swim and not have to worry about alligators.
Three stunning black labrador retriever’s were already there. Izzy was hesitant to join in the fun but soon lost all inhibition.
By the time we were ready to leave, Izzy had become a part of the gang. Her initial caution reminds me of our choices in new and/or challenging situations. We have choices to let our fears keep us from enjoying new things in life or we can take a risk and learn something new and take on a new adventure.
Hoping your day is full of opportunities for adventure!

OMG, she is getting so big.
I know right! Not a little puppy size wise but still learning big dog skills!
Your little Izzy is growing quickly! I’m glad she faced her fear and made some new friends.
She weighs 33 pounds now! Learning how to play with others is a good thing for her and of course other labs are sweet.
