It’s the little things that make us laugh!

Do you ever see something along your daily path that makes you stop and think?  Or, stop and smile?  Or, better yet, stop because you are laughing so hard that you cannot continue?  Think about those church signs that are sometimes inadvertently funny, misleading or just plain wrong.

A few come to mind:

  • Forbidden fruit bring many jams
  • Sign Broke, Message Inside
  • Keep using my name in vain, I’ll make rush hour longer–God
  • Honk if you love Jesus, Text if you want to meet Him
  • Lent is coming, get your ash in church

Churches don’t get all the glory for funny signs:

  • BEWARE of the Dog, the Cat is not trustworthy either
  • Anyone caught exiting through this door will be asked to leave
  • Septic tanks pumped, swimming pools filled, not same truck
  • I was addicted to the Hokey Pokey but I turned myself around
  • EAT HERE & GET GAS

I enjoy these signs.  There is no denying that I love a good word game or pun.  I have started taking pictures of these curious odds and ends to share.  Hope you enjoy these I have spotted in the Bahamas.

I am always taking pictures of bathroom signs.  I try to be discreet, but I am not usually successful.  I have gotten a few stares along the way.

There are others who like these funny signs too.  Some people like them so much they put them in their yard.  I spotted this one in Marsh Harbour–the average low temperature in December is 67.  That’s the ocean peaking through the trees.  Gotta love a sense of humor.  However, if it’s snowing where you live, it might be warmer to take this snow route to warmer weather.

  1. Love those church signs! Once bought a desk top church calendar that had one of those funny quotes for each month. My intent was to give to our current pastor but unfortunately that never happened. Had I been thinking, I could have given it to him a year late and added a page with this quote. “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
Hope you have a great Christmas! Love to the family!
